After working behind the scenes to execute this reinvented edition, festival organizers have announced a handful of showcases, talks and panels taking place throughout three days.

The official selection consists of two exciting showcases with 10 performances directed by Éric Morin and Parce que Films in collaboration with Pestacle for the scenography. Their vision for the showcases was inspired by the aesthetics of the Ed Sullivan Show circa 1970’s and Limehouse Studios’ television show from the 90s, The Word. Actor and screenwriter Paul Spence and Le Couleur’s Laurence Giroux-Do will also provide additional entertainment throughout the first two evenings.

The first showcase, “Le Montréal Magique Musique Show,” takes place on November 18th at 9pm, featuring 5 exciting francophone artists such as Flore Laurentienne, Laurence-Anne as well as, Totalement Sublime, Maude Audet and Population II who have recently released new projects.

The anglo showcase, “The Montreal Magic Music Show,” will consist of Shay Lia, Jannette King, Paul Jacobs, Alex Nicol and Edwin Raphael. These performances will take place on November 19th at 9pm.

PRO badge holders will also have access to an additional virtual Canadian showcase featuring Slow Spirit, Jo Passed, The Garry’s and Patient Hands. A presentation of a few up and coming international artists will also take place. The virtual PRO space also consists of more than 100 international guests from 15 countries with various networking activities.

Mac DeMarco is due to close out the festival with a special solo show taking place on November 20th at 7pm EST broadcasted here. Tickets are available for purchase here. PRO badgers can access the show for free after RSVPing, as there are limited spaces available.
