The Strokes Announce Their First Canadian Tour Date in Over a Decade!

The iconic alternative rock outfit are due to make their way up North to play their only Canadian date of the Summer at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on May 20th, opening this season’s summer concert series. This will mark the band’s first appearance in the city in nearly thirteen years.

The band has recently announced their return with a “global comeback,” playing a handful of intercontinental festivals such as All Points East and Governor’s Ball and plan on gradually adding more dates. Nonetheless, there has not been much talk or a confirmation with regards to the release of new material which left most fans curious. In fact, their short 2016 run was based around the promotion of their latest EP, “Future, Present Past.” Perhaps the band has something in the works and might even debut a few tracks on this upcoming touring cycle.

General ticket sales begin next Friday however those who subscribe to The Strokes’ mailing list will get access to an exclusive presale which will take place this Monday.
