Ecca Vandal Announces New Album LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW

Arriving on May 22nd via Loma Vista Recordings.

Sri Lankan-Australian artist Ecca Vandal is set to release her sophomore album this spring. Titled, LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW, The genre-defying project aims to shut out the draining, ever-consuming, senseless noise. As the latest preview, she’s unleashed the adrenaline-charged single, “SORRY!CRASH!”

“I find empowerment in being loud and noisey especially as a woman in this global moment who grew up in a culture that told me I could not be those things,” says Vandal of how the record began to take shape. In an era defined by the attention economy, the musician aimed to create a meaningful body of work that pierces through the noise. “We cut out everything that didn’t serve us, the timelines, the metrics, the pressure to ‘stay visible’ online. We tuned out of the feed and turned inwards… We left behind the room packed with industry chatter and opinions, and created our own little haven. And honestly, it was magic. The best decision we’ve ever made.”

Ecca Vandal is set to perform at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival this summer, alongside a selection of UK and European dates.
