Taking place from August 25th to 30th in Montreal
MUTEK, the premier festival that bridges the gap between digital creativity and electronic music, is set to return for its 27th edition this year. Taking place at venues across Montreal, the six day event offers attendees the chance to immerse themselves with an innovative sonic experience.
Over 120 artists from 28 countries will be featured across 18 programs and five series, including world premieres and Montreal debuts. The 6-day features a diverse and contrasting overview of contemporary electronic music and art with an eclectic lineup that showcases a wide array of boundary-pushing artists.
The festival includes free outdoor performances taking place each day, along with a curated indoor program live at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) and MTELUS, as well as select performances at Maison Symphonique and Les Grands Ballets’ Studio-Theatre, altering between classical instrumentation and electronic performances.
Through live performances and audio-visual projects to dance-forward numbers, MUTEK 2026 continues to amplify the festival’s core pillar of showcasing creativity through contemporary art and music. These sets offer new ways for audiences to engage with music, art and space. This makes for the perfect occasion to discover unique audiovisual performances that push the boundaries of technology and musical innovation.

Jeff Mills
The legendary producer and DJ is set to present the world premiere of his immersive audio-visual project Stargate, his latest exploration of sound, technology, space, and the future. Jeff Mills invites the audience to explore uncharted territory through an all-encompassing immersive experience.
Jeff Mills will premiere Stargate at Métropolis 1 event at MTelus on August 28th.
A Guy Called Gerald
The Berlin-based DJ and electronic music pioneer is set to present a new version of his 1995 album, Black Secret Technology, an essential jungle music blueprint. His performance is set to evoke a futuristic retelling of the foundational record.
A Guy Called Gerald is set to perform during the Nocturne 3 event at the SAT on August 28th followed by a DJ set at Experience 6 event outdoors at Esplanade Tranquille on August 30th.

Montréal duo of Patrick Holland and Priori are set to present their latest album Fold, blending infectious dancefloor rhythms with the city’s electric pulse.
The pair will perform at the Nocturne 2 event on August 27th at the SAT.
Kali Malone and Kara-Lis Coverdale
Part of a wider experimental exploration into acoustic resonance, the music Kara-Lis Coverdale balances dense orchestrations and minimalist spaces across piano, organ, and strings. Kali Malone’s meditative and hypnotic compositions feature continuous organ layers that demonstrate the instruments distinct acoustic depth and spatial resonance.
The duo are set to perform at the X/Visions 1 event at on August 27th the Maison symphonique.
