With Heavy LightMeg Remy specifically incorporates the use of personal narratives, as the tracks posses a self-observant quality. The record also includes three re-worked versions of. “Statehouse (It’s A Man’s World)”, “Overtime,” and “Red Ford Radio,” which are previously released tracks. In fact, “Overtime,” serves as the record’s lead single.

Remy produced Heavy Light and has recorded the album live with 20 session musicians at Montreal’s Hotel 2 Tango studio.  Her list of collaborators for the project included saxophonist Jake Clemons from E Street Band, co-writers Rich Morel and Basia Bulat, percussionist Ed Squiries, as well as perilous collaborators Maximilian ‘Twig’ Turnbull, Steve Chahley and Tony Price who lend their hand in mixing the record.

In addition to their three intimate record release shows in Toronto, New York and Montreal, band is due to embark on an extensive spring tour kicking things off at Detroit’s MOCAD venue on April 4th and culminating this run at The Black Box Theatre in Toronto on May 16th. The band is then due to play a show in the UK at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in October, leaving enough room for a potential European run.
