After playing a stellar set at this year’s edition of Osheaga Festival, the Toronto-based alternative rock quartet, The Beaches made their headlining debut in Montreal last night. The band was also joined by up and coming indie rockers, Goodbye Honolulu for the headlining portion of their tour dates.
Following the release of their debut EP, “No Honey” last year, Goodbye Honolulu returned with another EP called “More Honey” via Fried Records. The record consisted of a handful of songs that they have been playing during their previous tour as well as a demo.

The Beaches’ show last night marked their “Late Late Show” mini headlining tour to close off the year after playing their last show alongside The Glorious Sons. The four-piece took the stage to a crowd of eager fans, including small children huddled around the stage in excitement. The band had a few surprises in store for the audience with their rendition of “Be my Baby” by The Ronettes halfway though their set. They also closed off the show by covering Avril Lagvine’s fan-favourite, “Sk8tr Boi.”
