The Los Angeles based indie rock band, Slow Hollows made their way back to Montreal last week on their headlining tour in support of their forthcoming record, Actors via Danger Collective Records later on this year.

Slow Hollows are definitely among the very few up and coming bands that’s I’ve been excited about over the past few years, given their consistency as well as how they continue to release music in between records. The group has equally managed to ameliorate their sound, wether it be in terms of the production or instrumentation with each release or the lyricism, which is both quite rare and leaves fans something to look forward to each time.
Here’s a brief timeline of their The band released their debut record Atelophobia back in 2015 and their sophomore record Romantic (which happens to be my favourite from their catalogue) following the release of their first single, “Again.” They embarked on their first North-American tour last year, playing some shows alongside Cherry Glazerr, played a few Californian festivals including Coachella and even opened for Phoenix during a few of their shows in December. This year, the band released three singles: “Hell,” “Lessons for Later” and “Selling Flowers.” As well, they are currently finishing up the remaining dates of their first headlining North American tour, in which they play a handful unreleased tracks each night. Based on what I’ve heard thus far, I am convinced that Actors will probably be among my favourite records of the year.
