Set for release on October 24, 2025.
Montreal-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ouri has returned with the announcement of her new album, Daisy Cutter, the follow-up to 2021’s Frame of a Fauna. As a first preview, she’s share the title track of the LP.
The record centers on radical experimentation around desire, discipline, and intimacy, and the freedom to embrace all aspects of one’s self without constraint. It also presents a duality, with music that feels both intimate and subversive. She’s also enlisted the likes of Charlotte Day Wilson, Bamo Yendé, Cecile Believe, Duncan Hood, Jonah Yano, Bby Eco, and more as collaborators.
When describing the inspiration behind her new album, Ouri notes:
“All these trusting miles in the dark led me to these 13 songs. Daisy Cutter is music but it’s also the leader of a militia, a part of me. Like a rotor, I started a practice that brought all this album to life and it’s gonna keep spinning even when I let go of the wheel.”
