The band’s new album, Slacker, is set to arrive on October 24th
Brazilian lo-fi stalwarts Oruã, featuring former members of Built to Spill, have offered up a second preview from their upcoming LP Slacker ,out October 24th via K.
The riveting guitar-driven track draws inspiration from frontman Lê Almeida’s unjust detention in 2023 after traveling to Mexico for a festival performance recounted as such:
“I wrote this song as an outburst, without any fear or remorse about reopening such a painful and intense wound...Mexico Suite’ is a questioning of some of the injustices that are so present and alive in the life of an artist traveling the world to spread his art…(it) is about questioning, about self-respect and having courage.”
