The Brooklyn-based band full length LP arrives on May 9th, 2025.
Rising post-punk act TVOD (Television Overdose) are set to release their full-length debut record, Party Time on May 9th, 2025 via Mothland. Drawing Influenced by post-punk, egg punk and krautrock, the the new record builds on frontman Tyler Wright’s idiosyncratic songwriting approach, paired with the group’s loud guitar riffs, lush synth layers, and post-punk grooves. Today, TVOD return with “Uniform,” a catchy and chaotic new single they describe as “a Nineteen Eighty-Four work-related injury release form, that someone forgot to file.”
With Party Time, TVOD present a full body of work that encapsulates their unique sense of humor, introspective lyrics, and outspoken commentary. The record harbours a wide range of emotion without compromising much of their punk-rock ethos.
“The songs span the band’s history…It’s definitely a party-themed album, with a lot of nods to our more light-hearted late nights, but it leans into the darkness of depression, isolation and addiction that partying can bring. Going through heartbreaks, using partying as a way to cope, whether it’s in a positive or a negative way, is up to interpretation...In short, it’s hangxiety-induced punk to dance or mosh to. Like taking a shot of tequila and doing cardio.” — TVOD
Party Time is set for release on May 9th, 2025.
