Sled Island Announces First Wave of Artists for 2025 

The Calgary festival is set to take place from June 18 to 22nd, 2025.

Sled Island Music & Arts Festival has unveiled its initial wave of artists for its 2025 edition. The annual independent festival features a vast musical, comedy, arts lineup, along with various conferences across the city. Japanese punk rockers Otoboke Beaver will serve as the event’s guest curator this year.

The festival’s musical lineup features R&B singer Yaya Bey, Montreal synth-pop group TOPS, Aussie psych rock outfit Tropical Fuck Storm, slowcore trio Horse Jumper of Love, experimental noise rock group Xiu Xiu, ambient harpist Mary Lattimore, black metal act Mizmor, legendary Indigenous folk rock duo Willie Thrasher & Linda Saddleback, experimental Arabic post-folk group SANAM, and more.

Otoboke Beaver’s selection includes garage punk band, The Mummies, Japanese-American act Peelander-Z, pop trio Black Ends, pop punks LEMON BOY, sludge metal group MUÑECA, Taiwanese indie punks BB BOMB, and Glockabelle, an experimental glockenspiel musician.
