Montreal’s hardcore heads were treated with the ultimate four-band bill at the legendary Les Foufounes Électriques on Thursday night. Philadelphia’s Jesus Piece and Columbus Ohio death metal band Sanguisugabogg brought their co-headlining North American tour to the city for a raucous night. Both bands were joined by metalcore acts Gag and Peeling Flesh during this run.

Following the excellent sets by the openers, Jesus Piece kicked off the main set. A sea of crowd surfers made their way to the stage before the band begun. The audience was treated to a killer set featuring cuts from their most recent LP, …So Unknown. The band even took the time to direct the crowds energy to a global humanitarian crisis, shouting “FREE PALESTINE,” before walking off stage.

Sanguisugabogg wasted no time, getting right into, immersing the packed crowd with their blistering roar. The gory subject matter of their music paired with Devin Swank’s haunting vocal delivery made for an explosive performance.

Jesue Piece and Sanguisugabogg’s co-headlining North American tour culminates in Boston on Saturday. Check out the full list of dates here.
